A worker was taken to a hospital Friday after a crane fell in Coral Gables, fire officials said. 

The incident occurred at Miracle Mile and Douglas Road. 

Lt. Troy Easley, of the Coral Gables Fire Department, said a crane was lifting a small cart with equipment on it when the cart fell and hit a worker in the chest. 

The worker was transported to Coral Gables Hospital. The extent of the worker’s injuries is unknown.
